-Flexible hours for most staff -Franchises largely have their own vibe which will match their community more so than the overall company ever does -Some unique flavors that can be fun
Contras
-There is no standard for training so each location has to make their own from just about scratch. This leads to differences going from store to store which in turn means that reviews start to target inconsistencies in each location's tastes. As of now, not a large problem as the existing stores are widely spread out, but will become a massive issue. -The company itself is more about merch and leaning into stereotypes than the actual coffee product or community at large, it seems. This reflects in the amount of the store dedicated to selling/storing non-coffee product versus how much room there is for an actual cafe -Communication from higher ups to lower in the chain is both limited and confusing, which in turn makes the implementation of new practices/products/warehouses or changes to existing ones much slower, costlier, and far more difficult than need be. -Not one person who works here full time across 4 states I have spoken to can make nearly enough money or has enough benefits to promote the loyalty the company needs to last long term
