Prós

Laguna Tools is an industry leader in innovative products and they are growing at an uncontrolled rate which forces a very fast paced and disciplined work-place. There is a ton to learn, and many intelligent people available to help.

Contras

Some employees, in positions that should be careers, are under the impression that the job they hold is temporary or non-vital and their work ethic and attitude reflects this. It is no secret that Investors are heavily involved, which is a large portion of management's plate that takes space away from what is important. The future is foggy.

Laguna Tools is a 35 year old company with plenty of room for growth and advancement.

Contras

Some of the employee's don't take their job seriously and bring down morale.

Prós

Most of the lower level employees at Laguna are great people with amazing personalities who are great to work along side. While the products Laguna used to sell where fairly decent quality the companies desire to make money has outweighed their passion to build quality tools.

Contras

All of the managers with the exception of one are terrible to work with or for. The amount of serious issues that is left untouched should be concerning to anyone. Communication between managers and employees is zero. Communication about upcoming projects and changes to the systems never happens, you must work around problems upper management created and they will not allow you to point out major issues. There are 0 SOP’s for any job and only 1 or two people can answer questions you may have about it. Safety inside the warehouse is nonexistent, while there are some people trying to fix the safety issues, upper management does not care to due to the cost of creating a safe work environment. Benefits are at best below average, the company will meet the bare minimum requirements to tell you they have benefits that are “competitive”. Your manager will not understand how your job is to be done nor will they want to know.
