Government contract work is generally steady and reliable for such a large company, so the company has weathered the current financial downturn fairly well.
Contras
They create company wide policies and practices that do not always apply neatly to diverse business units. Employees may sometimes feel like they are treated as a number rather than a valued employee. Salary is not always competitive, especially the more entry level positions.
