Surrounded by lots of nice people who are smart. Great software used by many engineers and scientists in industry, government and academia.

Contras

Slow progression through company. Salary is average--not low, not high. Sometimes company policies can be old-fashioned.

The values are do the right thing and think long term - hard to get better than that. Work life balance is also quite good.

Software only, not much hardware. Limited ambition among coworkers.
