This company has no pros

Contras

The attendance policy is absolutely unacceptable. 3 absences in a rolling calendar is completely ridiculous! Especially when you receive DISCIPLINARY action for your 4th absence. They fired the entire department at my hospital and sent them OVERSEAS! Stay away from this company at all costs.

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Contras

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
