The majority of senior leaders are smart, respectful, and genuinely care about their teams — though a minority will put their own ambitions ahead of the people they're supposed to serve.

Like many large organisations, RACV's scale comes with real constraints. High overheads, accumulated tech debt, and rooms full of 50+ stakeholders can make innovation feel like swimming upstream. Decision-making is slow, and with senior leaders holding strong opinions, employees can find it easier to follow orders than fight for new ideas. Resources naturally flow toward the top organisational priorities — which means some parts of the business are left to make do with less.
