      Prós

      The product created at RMD is state of the art and made of the finest components. Management provides what is necessary to do the job right. I required some accommodations and they were provided promptly. Employees are expected to be professional and are treated as such. It was a real growth experience working there I will never forget. I was always paid on time.

      Contras

      RMD is a very small startup and has some of the problem associated therewith cannot be avoided. The company is sensitive to fluctuations in cash-flow. When my project was completed I was laid off abruptly. I had been hoping to stay around for follow-on projects.

      You get to be creative and work with your hands on real life projects that vary from drones to several thousand pound robots. The president of the company is insanely smart and driven, and helps you grow technically across a wide range of areas.

      Contras

      Smaller company that sometimes has inconsistent workflow.

      Best opportunity to learn new things and very supportive environment. Management was collaborative and granted me great autonomy and authority over development.

      My project depended on external funding over which the company had no control.
