It’s a job to fill the gaps

Contras

One person has way too much power. Yelling and belittling on the regular and you never know what you’ll walk into each day. Expect gaslighting and lies from the manager. Zero training or advancement unless you have the right looks. Manager spent two hours a day helping the same two recruiters find resumes, and gave them preferential treatment while neglecting the rest of the group. If you’re experienced, they’ll see you as a threat and continually question your prior qualifications to break you down. Manager continually tells you one thing, but never follows through with a meeting to get all recruiters on the same page. Gossip about the remote workers was rampant. Management discussed an employee’s performance with another recruiter within earshot of the person. Instructions often given through incoherent speech. When you ask for more information, you get berated. Controversial topics were argued regularly, and the power imbalance created tension. No one talks to you out of fear of retaliation. You’re expected to work alone, calling candidates with chaos going on in the background. Expect multiple calls on your lunch and bathroom breaks. I dreaded going to this toxic and hostile work environment. Pay is low, they only have one client which means little job security. I didn’t even last a year.

High Pay, Easy interview, bonuses, good people

Contras

Things kind of change when they lose the business you are supporting and they kind of make if feel like your fault.

Difficult to get any kind of raise, not managements fault. job is contract based so there's a cap on compensation.
