Pros: - The job itself isn't that difficult. - For the most part, I can run with my ideas and implement them on projects. - Some really good, hard working employees.
Contras
- Chaotic. Leadership does not know what they are doing. - No real direction. - They tend to hire leadership that is not well experienced, so they often have inflated titles and are not truly masters of what they are doing. If you're looking for mentorship opportunities, you won't find them here because no one seems to have in-depth knowledge about much. - Useless meetings that are a waste of everyone's time. - Department leads often waste the time of all other teams with unnecessary meetings that are often redundant and repetitive. - I've seen cases where C Suite execs have bullied/been rude to employees for no apparent reason. - They don't value individuality here in my opinion. It's a very "you must fit in this box" culture. Aka, if you don't subscribe to toxic positivity, you may not fit in. - Lots of egos, lot's of uptight personalities, lots of immaturity, toxic environment. - Approvals for work take forever, but you are somehow still expected to make deadlines. - Lots of projects pop up with inadequate time given to employees. - They sweep a lot of issues under the rug, instead of trying to resolve them. - How they present the company during interviews is much different from how the company functions once hired. They claim to be a very progressive wellness brand that cares for its employees and has great work life balance, which has been false. - There really is no real onboarding. You're just thrown in the fire and if you can't figure it out they'll blame you and may even fire you. - You will likely get blamed for things that are out of your control because leadership is scattered.
