Flexible Hours (Good job while in school), Scholarship Money (Which is very hard to get) Some people are actually pretty cool and good at their jobs, and you might make a couple good friends.

Horrible Management, Horrible Pay, Will overwork you every single chance they have, Most of the time you never get all of your breaks in a day, will keep you own on the pay scale and do the same job as other people but will be paid half for it. People on the old contract make double what you make and you usually will work harder than them, scraping at minimum wage. Ralphs is a horrible company to work for, ask any younger person who works there who is on the new union contract and they will tell you the same thing. Of course the older workers who are on the old contract wont because they are barely doing any work for $20/hr. The union I was a part of was so weak, and only hindered the workplace. There were people who were horrible workers and just needed to be fired, however since they were "protected by their union" management would just turn their heads and make someone else do it. Almost everyone there is your boss, and they will all try to boss you around and tell you what to do, and usually they have no idea what they are doing, so you get in trouble. All in all, Don't work for Ralphs, unless you have no problem doing 500x the amount of work that your being paid for, liked to get bossed and pushed around, and treated like an idiot every day.
