Contras
Strategic leadership is completely absent. Major business decisions are made, changed, then ignored or scrapped all together at a moments notice. There’s very little trust from senior management; team members are expected to act autonomously with very little guidance, only for weeks of work to be tossed aside as inappropriate or not good enough upon delivery. Whilst there are plenty of good, hardworking people at middle management level, senior leadership is scattered in its thinking and verging on hostile to lower level employees. On a number of occasions I witnessed and was party to humiliating dress-downs from people in positions of significant authority. It verges on bullying at times. Staff morale is low as a result, and personnel turnover is incredibly high. There’s no room to excel at Roon because everyone is too scared of the consequences of missing unreasonable or uncommunicated expectations. It’s not a fun place to work.
