- Every day I leave feeling like I made a positive difference in the lives of others (teachers, students, families). - I feel incredibly supported by an organization full of hardworking, passionate, smart individuals - At SA I have worked with some of the smartest educators I've ever met during my tenure in education. It feels very inspiring to wake up and come to work each day alongside them. - Supplies, materials, benefits--- in my previous DOE school I spent what felt like my entire paycheck on paper, snacks, copies, books.... At SA everything is provided. Our benefits are also incredible. - Mission-driven organization: There is a clear, larger goal. It is motivating to feel as though I'm rowing in the same direction as every other individual within the organization, working towards a greater cause of improving the state of education in America. - Cutting-edge technology: If there is a good tool out there, SA is using it. Part of being in such a fast-paced environment includes working with some of the best things out there in education. Torsh, slack, student data tracking systems, etc.... - Amazing school communities: The community I have cultivated in my school is warm, caring, and committed. The parents are true partners. It is a joy and honor to serve them. They are invested and there with us every step of the way.
Contras
- I work around the clock. But I prefer it this way, and I did so even before joining Success Academies. I believe that in order to be an excellent educator and continuously improve your practice it requires some extra work and effort. - I love feedback and feeling like I'm growing, but if you are sensitive or do not like getting direct feedback then this is not the place for you.
