Firstly its clear some of these positive reviews are written by management. Secondly, this is not a graduate role whatsoever. The company has become a joke, where do I even start. I worked for TB for a year and the amount of people who got the sack must be nearing 6 PER month. If you do the maths, after six months you have a less than 15% chance of actually still being here. After a year its honestly less than 1%. They also have TWO internal recruiters for a company less than 40 employee's, I think that should say enough. Yes they give training but unless you hit the ground running, with a huge amount of luck on your side you will not make it here. The only way you can make it is if you get given a passed on account from a company who is already doing business with TB from the last person to leave / or who gets fired so they can give you a bit of business to see you through the first few months. Coupled with being able to open an account by yourself with companies that actually have enough users or who are actually willing to do enough business with TB and trust me this is near impossible to find. It seems like new business in the long term is only possible if you're given good enough accounts from old employee’s to see you through the struggle of actually being able to find it. Some of the team leaders will claim "I managed to open all/most of my accounts whats the problem" but what they won’t say is like I mentioned above this took them over a year and were given accounts to help them through this time - and were lucky that these accounts actually wanted to buy. Also what they won’t mention because they are to busy blowing there own trumpet is that during this time some were infact on a PIP (performance improvement plan - how embarrassing) which isn’t used anymore, they will just fire you. For a company that has been doing business for over 20 years, TB should have a very large and broad book of accounts, but they don’t. They are still pushing for this new business so aggressively because of the lack of development into employee’s who do have the skills to manage accounts. They would rather just get rid of you. There is no personal investment, its just a numbers game unless you are lucky enough to hit the near impossible criteria mentioned above. They concentrate so much on new business however I saw people lose their jobs who had opened 1,2 maybe 3 new accounts in their first few months but because these companies weren't buying enough to see them over there targets, and they hadn't been given a good passed on account to help with the target it was bye bye for them. It should also be noted that all of the larger accounts where money could potentially be made on their CRM are blocked to everyone, bar the team leaders and a few others. The whole way this company runs is a joke. What also is a joke, is you're making calls to these companies and TB is known... TB is known by IT managers, directors etc.. far and wide. Most of them sick with the constant harassment by phone or the constant change of account managers. As soon you mention TB quite often the phone is just put down on you. I heard a few times ‘you are great to work with’ or ‘i’d love to work with you’ .. ‘’its just TB and therefore its a no…’. Even if you get past the initial intro and it seems like everything is going well, perhaps they give you an opportunity to meet, or perhaps a quote; you will be terrified because 1. you don't really know what you're talking about since according to TB 'this doesn't matter' and 2. the way the MD runs this company, Tim, is to drive by fear, and if you don't produce him results well gosh damn you are in trouble. The man shows obvious signs of several personality disorders, he will insult you, he will insult your family, he will lash out at you, he will threaten you, he was sexist to me, he will try his best to put you down, he will talk about your sex life, he will talk about murdering in his time in the army, he would like to think he owns you just because he pays your salary. If you fight back you will called out as weak. He will even encourage you to insult your potential customers if they don’t want to buy from you. Comments I heard made by him would have been enough to charge him of hate crime. Whats even worse is during these outbursts you can see he's TRYING to hold it in due to numerous complaints that have been made against him but he just can't keep it in. But I guess the most embarrassing point that has to be made is his whole drive by fear approach works, because the whole sales team is petrified of him and will do exactly as he says. Most will even praise him saying “he’s a great salesman” which may be true as that is one side of his personality, but the rest of him, looking back now after some time away, its quite frankly disgusting. This behaviour will rub off on you to, several times I had heard that working at TB made you into a different person since this kind of attitude is so accepted it just spills over into your personal life, a selfish, slimey, arrogant salesman type of character. There is a feel of hostility to all new starters, no one in sales will bother to talk to you in the first month, but can you blame them? 7-10 new starters coming in every month and usually 50% are gone within the first few weeks. You will only make friends with team leaders or managers in this place if you are making money which is a sad reality. What should be heavily pointed out to new employees swell since it isn’t made clear, is yes the starting salary is 25k but after 3 months this drops to 22.5k. But “this should be made up if you hitting your targets” this is a lose statement because quite often commission wasn’t paid on time, or paid wrongly. Or your customer thinks so poorly of TB its taken over 60 days for them to pay, and won’t see any of this money until they have paid. So its a waiting game really. These people don’t care when they fire you, they don’t care if you got bills to pay or actually want to do well, there is no compassion other than to themselves, they are so caught up in trying to convince themselves this is a good place to work that firing these people has just become second nature and like its a normal, everyday thing to do when in fact allowing this kind of thing could be destroying someones life. You will spend your day worrying ‘is it me today?’ - its just not healthy. I can’t say with enough importance, if you are a graduate you have decent prospects in life, don’t not lower yourself and your self respect by working here. Don’t try to convince yourself you may have potential and get sucked in by the incentives or promise of a ‘huge earnings’. Its all smoke and mirrors. Avoid at all costs
