This is the most ridiculous and insulting question I have ever been asked on an interview. I can understand the nature of this question and it's the nature of the business to do heavy lifting at times. If you are applying for a management position you should understand that this is part of the lifestyle of basic retail food business. To be asked this question at a manager level is plain ludicrous. I've been in the retail field for over 30 years and I can lift 50lbs. I answered it by saying: In the past I had worked night crew for 16 years, I can lift 50 lbs. You have to learn how to work smart when you life.
