I think of two types of creativity related to my work. I have in the past had to often be very creative in finding solutions to technical issues, but also I have had opportunities to use more artistic creativity to create value to my company as well. While working for a small compiler company as a tech writer out of college, I had the opportunity to write all of their marketing documents, and press releases. I was also able to create their first company web pages when html was all done by hand. That was interesting and satisfying as I had to make sure things looked good, as well as making the words make sense.
