This was an oddly surprising question. I said that I am driven by my competitive nature and my intense curiosity, and my interviewer replied "Money drives me- I work because I want to make a lot of money. What drives you?" I conceded that of course money drives me, but truthfully said that I also enjoy learning and competition enough that they drive me as well.
