Hi, I am wondering how the apples and oranges question was asked in the form of a coding question? I know it is a riddle, but was it also asked as a coding question? It seems impossible to imagine it as a coding question.

They ask you to make it a coding question. It's hard to comprehend for sure, but I think the goal is to see how you can represent logic and probability into code
