I also faced similar situation. This time with a different panel. Man, these guys. They think they are sitting in Sapient so they know everything. They ask why dont you have certification? They ask why dont you use something which we are using in our project? They say it plainly that your project is rubbish. 
I am a hackathon winner and they did this to me. 
Man, let me be on the opposite side of the table. I will show him how deep he knows. Alas, not to be the case. God is on his side.
