I did the take home assessment and the online technical interview. Honestly, they were very rude. One interviewer didn't even turn on their camera and only said something when he was telling me I was wrong, and the other had the tone of trying to trip you up and was weirdly hostile. At one point he said "well that's not really what I asked but okay let's move on..." Like why not just clarify the question or at least mention where the miscommunication was? Unprofessional to say the least. I think the interview questions were quite difficult for the role and they expect you to have extensive experience with Java specifically. I have mainly worked with Python and TS and I told them that but I am familiar with the syntax and fundamentals of Java (as well as general DSA). And yet they ask me to compare very specific Java builtin classes like what's the difference between the ConcurrentHashmap and HashTable or some. And not just basic I/O a lot of concurrency, DB, and networking related questions, specifically how they work in Java. Like idk man i haven't read the entire documentation but isn't that just the kind of thing I could learn in like one second by Googling it? They ask a lot of these "trivia" style questions where they scrutinize your answer heavily, often as vague and confusing as possible to ensure they can pick apart your response and further criticize you for not explaining things that weren't directly asked. Also, they asked me what a lambda function was and how it worked in Java and I explained it but they said I was wrong and it was actually something related to the final keyword... and I'm like umm immutability? And then I talked a bit about that but he didn't really seem convinced. But I'm not sure why he said I was wrong because in retrospect I don't think I was since you don't actually need to explicitly set it as final.... overall I can smell their dinosaur tech stack from a mile away and it sounds like they work you like a dog and treat you terribly for pennies. Finally, I asked about how growth and mentorship works at 360T, and if I hadn't already written off the company, hoo boy. They clearly have no real professional development strategies in place and they made it sound like a free-for-all. They describe mentorship as "hand-holding" and openly promote a "sink or swim" culture. Why would I ever want to work at a company that so obviously does not care about me? This is a classic example of what happens when arrogant tech/finance bros conduct interviews (and probably run the company). I would advise applicants to avoid wasting their time. I would not accept an offer here regardless.

After my initial application almost immedietly ı received a task to complete. It was a Multi-threading task in JAVA. It was over-all pretty hard topic for a junior level to fully be able to pull off. However with modern age of AI, you can get a pretty solid project in. I completed the task and send it as zip. Next day I recieved an invitation to a first round of technical interview which was 2 weeks later. 2 people were mentioned to be attending. Interview was about Multi-Threading and Java concurrent library. Only two other question was asked what is Stack and what is the difference between ArrayList and LinkedList. I believe ı responded as best as ı can. Interviewers 1 opened camera and other did not and only the person who had camera on asked questions. Questions were not asked in a respective manner but ı did not mind that. Also quite a lot of times interviewer tries to make you second guess your answer and that also was different for me.
