Check if the server is virtualized (most likely is at this company), if so power on but prior check with the team if off for specific reason. If not a VM and critical liaise with customer to power on if possible or try and access via IDRAC if possible however from experience its a 50/50 chance if setup correctly by the infrastructure team.
