Candidature simplfiée via LinkedIn. S'en est suivi d'un entretien téléphonique avec le recruteur puis deux entretiens (~1h chacun) en présentiel avec respectivement un autre Software Engineer + CTO et mon futur manager + CEO.

The interview process was rather long, 1 system design round, one coding round, another system design round for frontend, one "culture fit" round, another "culture fit" round. The system design and coding rounds were ok, straight to the point, sometimes questions were ambiguous on purpose so that clarifying details needed to be asked. It was said that the "culture fit" rounds would be about experience and the company's values, but they ended up being some more technical assessment rounds. Especially the first culture fit round had a lot of questions related to the understanding of the insurance business but from a rather mathematical standpoint. The feedback was that the interviewers did not feel that I understood the akur8 product enough. The second culture fit round involved a discussion about past experience and then a question on a snippet of python code, analysing what the code was doing and how it could be structured better.
