This was an on-site interview with an engineer, an HR partner and the manager. I was welcomed, each member of the panel introduced himself/herself and then I introduced myself. Then followed a series of questions, related either to the technical background or my professional profile. The whole interview was quite baffling for me. The interview questioned my scientific background and challenged my ability to adapt to the industrial environment (on a tone that I perceived as very despising). On top of that, the salary proposed (60 000 € gross salary per annum) was very underwhelming compared to the expected scientific level of the candidate and the salaries proposed for equivalent positions in other companies.
