The interview process was pretty fast. I Applied online and in about 2 days, I received an invitation for a phone interview. The phone interview was recorded . The questions were pretty standard situational experience. I was then invited for an in-person interview that I scheduled two weeks ahead. The in person interview was interesting. The manager liked me and ask me to sit with someone. After shadowing with an adjuster, I was turned off by the position. I'm already a bodily injury adjuster at another insurance company, I just don't have litigation experience which I would be handing if I did accept the offer. Allstate is extremely behind in technology. They do everything on paper. Now if you have bodily injury experience, you know that you get 100s of pages of medical records to review. Nothing is scanned into the computer. There are piles of medical records on desk which could cause confusion with your files. The environment seemed extremely robotic, but staff very kind. Two day later I was offered the position. I declined the positions for several reasons. They offered less pay than my current salary (other insurance companies offer mid 60s-80s for litigation positions, but not Allstate), they have an extremely high insurance deductible, and out dated technology.
