I was called for an interview by a woman and was told that it would be with herself and a regional manager. I arrived there and was greeted by a person that was not mentioned on the phone. Neither person that I was told I would have the interview with was present. I applied for a "part-time phone work" position on jobshop.ca, which I obviously believed would be reception related. The guy went on about me going around to 15-30 peoples houses a day to sell insurance, which I have no prior experience with. I explained that it was not the position I applied for and that their job posting was very vague. He said there was a position available fitting the description I had given, but he would have to forward my resume to the correct people. Also, that it's an HR position involving posting job ads and recruiting people like woman that called me did to me. I wasted my time and money going to this place, and having an interview for the wrong position with the wrong person. I would not do such a terrible thing as that woman did to me and con people into this job, nor would I sell insurance door to door. This definitely sounds like a possible pyramid scheme judging by all the things this guy said. Do not waste your time even with an interview, no matter how desperate you are.
