I immediately said "Yes." He then shoots back, "I think you're lying." I got really confused right off the bat and after some back-and-forth chit-chat about why he thinks I'm lying, I doubled-down on confirming that I'm detail oriented by overtly stating that "Yes, 100%, I am detail oriented because I did blah blah at my last job and this other thing." He then gave a small intentional pause and said, "Cool." It wasn't until I left where I should've said from the start, "Yes because I did blah blah at another job." Tip: don't say "Yes" or "No" as a flat one word answer.
