I had an initial phone screening followed by an interview with the communications director. I felt that the interview went well because he left it off with telling me who I would be speaking to next, and then said they'll follow up with me soon. The recruiter sent me an email telling me that the director said the conversation went well, and that they would be reaching out in a few days about third interviews. I guess I got my hopes up, because I took that as I would be making it to the third round. I didn't hear back for over a week, so I decided to touch base with the recruiter, and they let me know that I did not get the role, and that they were moving on with other applicants. I completely understand, I just felt a little lead on, but overall taught me not to take things too literally. I sent the recruiter what I felt like was a really nice thank you, and just asked if I could get some feedback. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything. I know nobody owes me anything, but I felt like it was a little unprofessional not to get a response.
