I did 2 30-minute interviews back to back. First round was with HR and they just asked me general availability and to sum up my resume in 5 minutes. Second round was with an IT professional that worked for the company. Both recruiters made me feel so hopeful as they repeatedly said my experiences and work ethic matched the job description and that they both thought I had a good chance but 1.5 weeks later I get a call from HR saying conversations were great but the team moved onto better candidates that fit the job description. This rejection really hurt a lot because of the false hope that was given.
