The interview felt awkward and less professional than expected. A significant portion of the conversation was spent on personal topics, including marital status, number of children, and country of origin, which made me uncomfortable and took away from discussing the role, expectations, and team structure. I believe interviews are most effective when they stay focused on professional qualifications and job-related topics.
