The interview didn't happen. I was scheduled to do a phone interview at 1:30 pm. At 12:45pm, I was contacted by the recruiter via email that they weren't going to make it and that someone else would be reaching out. It was lucky I was monitoring my email in preparation for the interview, or I would have missed it. No one ever did reach out, despite multiple attempts on my part to get a hold of someone. No explanation was given. I understand sometimes things come up, but if a follow-up is promised then it should be followed through on. The same recruiter who cancelled without explanation sent me a second interview request nearly a week later, but I was unable to schedule a time in their system. I emailed again and they responded that they actually weren't even available for the timeslots that were provided, and that they'd be out the rest of the week as well. I decided at that point to withdraw my application.
