Given my senior-level experience, I found it disappointing that the discussion remained at a very basic level, without any opportunity to explore the role itself or assess mutual fit. We also did not reach alignment on salary expectations. While I shared that I was interviewing for positions in the specific range, the recruiter encouraged me to lower my figure. I explained that I would need more information — such as the detailed role description, benefits package, and proposed salary range — before revising my expectations. Unfortunately, no such information was provided, and my application was declined without feedback or any further discussion.
