It was clear to me after working there that the round of company managers and executives the hiring manager chose for me to interview with were his BONY cronies, and not necessarily the employees who would be working directly with me. The culture still remains a split of BONY vs Mellon people, and systems. These antique systems, some going back to Irving Trust, are important to know about.

Their questions were not terribly technical. The truth is that they have had antiquated systems and if you come in expecting to make changes and upgrades, there will be little budget for it. When they ask you the candidate if you have any questions, you should ask each of your interviewers which side they came from -- BONY or Mellon -- and how long they have been there. The Old Boys Network remains dominant, so you should go in with eyes open on this.
Great time interviewing. Very respectful and professional. On time. Pleasant. Knowledgeable. Human Resources team was easy to deal with and made the entire interview process easy - from scheduling, coordination and post- interview.

6 virtual and face to face interviews over 2-3 months and a number of informal conversations. These relaxed discussions with technology and business partners and peers. allowed me to get a good feel for the culture and the team ethos and how that matched against my personal style and goals.

Had to meet with Senior leaders to discuss my experience and what they were looking for at a high level. Wanted to ensure a good personality fit. Then meet with the hiring manager to discuss the day to day expectations of the role and how I may apply my past experience to them.
