I went in and asked for an application and filled it out and came back in the next day. They asked if I could come in for an interview within the week. The interview was a group interview which I was prepared for after researching online but it was still my first ever group interview. I had to wait about 10 minutes before a lady came and took us to the stockroom which was very small and cramped. We stood the whole time. The employer was not in my opinion very professional but she was nice. The other girl interviewing had more experience than me and was older. I thought I handled the questions ok, I could have been more elaborate but it was only my third interview. She asked basic questions and then said how much you get paid an hour ($10) so I thought that meant it was going well. It took about 15-20 minutes altogether and wasn't the hardest interview. I left there with the presumption I was going to get the job because she said she would call my references and give me a call back on Monday. I waited until Tuesday before I called the store and she told me I was on her list of people to call back and she wanted me to wait until after 1 pm. I waited all day and actually waited 4 weeks before I called her again. She said that all the positions were filled but my application was still on file. I found that very sketchy to say she was going to call me and she never did. I understand if I wasn't qualified, but I thought it was rude to lead me on. I don't think I would take the job if she called me tomorrow.
