Over the course of several months I had multiple video interviews (maybe 5 interviews). With the exception of HR, their team seemed really nice. I was told that I'd be receiving a project, but all I received in the end was a very generic pre-formatted email saying that they've moved on and I didn't get the job. I have lots of interview experience over my long career and in my experience, when you're that far down the road and you've put in hours of face time, it's unacceptable to just receive a generic email from HR.
