BioRender's interview process was pretty straightforward and in line with my expectations. Once my application was reviewed, I was emailed to schedule a suitable time for a phone interview about the opportunity. My interviewer was very kind, had clearly reviewed my resume carefully, and the interview was very conversational and flowed well. We had discussed next steps and she was gracious in answering all of my questions! While it didn't end up being a fit due to lack of scientific training on my end, my interviewer sent a very thoughtful email to inform me that left a lasting impression. I'd highly recommend BioRender (specifically this role) to someone well-versed in the creation of figures for scientific publication and deep knowledge of the Life Sciences. My background in science was geared more toward the editing of scientific publications.

The interview was fair, your standard background questions and behavioral questions. They have an insanely long 6 interview process for all job levels, ranging from potential co-workers, CEO, and panel interview, including a take home assignment. That’s honestly so ridiculous and the salary is below the current market for similar roles.

I went through 2 rounds of interviews, first was the initial screening with the recruiter, second was a video call with the hiring manager of CS. General interviews, no scenario questions, more about your experience and the basic intro interview questions.

They have an extremely long five or six step process for an entry level role. I made it to the 2nd stage with the hiring manager before being told that while my previous experience was impressive, they would've liked to hear how I could apply that to this role. I found this odd as I wasn't asked any questions that allowed me to answer in this way and I can't be expected to know everything about a new company. I feel that the company is definitely looking for a unicorn candidate as the process is way too long and interrogative for an entry level position. I probably would not interview with them again just with how cumbersome and time consuming their process is.
