I went through three rounds of interviews. The first one was with the in-house recruiter; he was charming, easy to talk to, and spoke so highly of the company I was sold immediately. I was so excited to progress through each interview stage, and it made me feel like there was a real chance I could be offered the role. I finished my third round, sent a follow-up to let the recruiter know how it went, and received a reply about how he was waiting for feedback and, based on that, possibly setting up a fourth and final interview. I waited two weeks and sent a follow-up, but nothing. I waited another two weeks and sent a follow-up, but nothing. I invested time into this company. I believed in the hype and wanted to be a part of it. At this point, I think it's pretty obvious I didn't get the job, but what happened to showing potential hires the courtesy of letting them know they weren't selected? I only wanted the common courtesy to let me know I wasn't selected. The interviews were long; I put a lot of time into preparing and looking into the company to ask questions, all of which were fine because I was invested. I have no ill will towards the people, and I expected things to be handled with more respect than I was shown in the end.
