I saw an advertisement from this agency for a job with one of their clients, and I got a call back the same day informing me that they had already forwarded my resume to their client. Later that day, I received confirmation that the client wanted to interview me in a couple of days. The interview was conducted via video and was fairly simple, with no tricky questions. It lasted about an hour. At the end of the interview, the hiring manager said that the agency would let me know about the next steps. So I waited for about a week, but I never heard back. I left a voicemail for the recruiter but got no response. I followed up with an email, but still heard nothing. I assumed I was being ghosted, so I officially moved on from the company without trying a 3rd time to follow up. Later on, I found out that the position had been open for a long time, even before I applied and the company/agency had not yet filled it. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially given that the recruiter had talked about being with me throughout the entire process. I would skip it if given the opportunity again.
