Entrevista
There is no interview. Just submit online applications together with reference letters. The process took approximately 2-3 months. The application deadline is mid December. I got the offer at the end of March.

Entrevista
Caltech’s interview process differs greatly by the department an option that you’re applying to. For me, it was not a technical interview. Most of it was about fit into the program.
The interview process involves having lunch with faculty, meeting with them one on one, meeting with graduate students in the program, and touring labs. Depending on the department specifics can vary, but from what I know, most interview processes are some variation on the above theme.

Most questions were not of the technical type, they were simply a conversation about what my interests were and what I wanted to work on. However, I was asked one technical question which was about the class of functions that could be approximated with two or three layer perceptrons.
