I studied Zoology because I love animals, but I know that biotechnology requires the use of animal testing to develop these potentially life-saving drugs. I know that any discomfort I experience is a reminder of my duty to do the work as humanely as possible, and I would rather it be an animal-lover doing this kind of work than a person who feels nothing for the animals and might abuse their position.
