The answer to your good question would be, that yes, I am 100 percent sure that this question was asked from me whilst applying for the Deployment Strategist role. :) I guess, that the role (they had in mind for me anways) would've included customer data implementations, which would require understanding of the basic framework. I don't consider this to be overwhelmingly techincal question - in my opinion the question tests whether one is able to understand the fairly simple model and use it effectively. You can learn the model from youtube 101 -videos beforehand anyways. ;)
