Recruiter contacted me from an online job board, asked me to reply. First interview with hiring manager went well, leading to second team/technical interview. After that, it got weird. The recruiter asked me to contact him after second interview. He asked what I thought, and I told him I thought it was positive. He then asked me if I was looking for a full-time position. I was confused. I told him I thought that's what I was applying for. He said he would talk to the hiring manager and contact me later. He never did. I never got an offer, feedback, or a rejection letter. Two months later, the recruiter called me out of the blue and said the hiring manager wanted to know if I was still available. He implied he wanted to set up an interview. When I told him I had already interviewed, he said, "Oh, I remember you," and said he would contact the hiring manager. Again, I have heard nothing else since. Most unprofessional, worst communication, and strangest experiencing in a recruiting process that I have experienced in 35 years as an IT professional.
