The process was simple and laid out nicely. Recruiter. Live coding. Talk with other engineers and possibly CEO chat. The live coding portion was a todo app with local storage. I thought I did well because the interviewer proclaimed that a lot of senior engineers couldn't even do the challenge. Unfortunately, it was on Coderbyte or coderpad, either way, it didn't really have any errors, linting -- it just wasn't indicative of a real world environment. Passed the test, explained my reasoning -- all of that. A week goes by. Nothing. I gently sent them a friendly reminder and 3 hours later, I get an rejection email that you'd expect from a bot sending rejections so I ask them if this was really real? It just seemed so impersonal and the whole processed was really awkward. I finally get an email back from HR saying your standard "after careful consideration" and they are "unable to provide feedback." This is laughably bad. I had to remind them, they seem to have forgotten about me and then explicitly say are unable to provide feedback. Bullet dodged it seemed like. Yikes.
