Hi guys, I have recently attended Cognizant interview through AMCAT and I would like to share my experience with you all. I got the mail from AMCAT about the Cognizant drive and within a week, I got the admit card also. So I gave AMCAT test and got confirmation mail for further interviews. Now coming to the interview part. There were two rounds for this drive: 1. TR. 2. HR. TECHNICAL ROUND. (I am from CSE). TR: Tell me something about yourself? Me: Told (name, graduation detail, school detail, family background, hobbies, strength, short term goal, long term goal). TR: What is Data Structure? Why do we need it? Me: Told. TR: What is an array? Why do we need it? Me: Told. TR: What is recursion? Why do we need it? Me: Told. TR: What is networking asked about OSI layers and TCP/IP model, router, gateways, switches, etc. Me: Told. TR: Do you know any other language besides C? ME: I said no. HR said to me ok now I will check your core subject knowledge and if you failed in any question your chances would be bleak. I said ok am ready. TR: What Is microprocessor and draw any microprocessor chip? Me: Then I have drawn 8085 chip TR: What Is UDP and draw models? Me: Then I have drawn. {Basically he was turning my mark sheet and in whichever subject he saw that I got the highest marks he was asking the question from them}. TR: Asked about my project. Me: Told. My interview lasted for around 25 min. He asked me almost every ECE subject although questions were basic. HR round: Very basic question. It was just a formality for them. Some of the questions were: HR: Tell me about yourself. HR: Tell me about your family background. HR: Will your parents be ok if we will send you to the south region. HR: What do you know about Cognizant. (study each and everything about Cognizant their headquarter, revenue, CEO, vice chairman, awards, etc). HR: Do you have any question for me? (always ask something). Finally, HR round got over and he told that you will be informed through mail about the result. The verification process takes a lot of time there. After 4 days I got the confirmation mail and offer letter. So just wanted to tell you guys that never lose hope and no matter what keep moving because WINNER DON'T LOSE THE ENTHUSIASM TO WORK HARD EVER. I got this job after many rejection but I never loose hope.
