Overall process took about 5 months with many weeks in-between interviews. I had a total of 5 rounds plus an additional conversation with HR. I walked out of the final interview expecting an offer but after 7 days, I was told that they're ultimately looking for someone with twice as many years of experience and that they will no longer be hiring for the position that they were interviewing me to fill. It appears that there is a lot of red tape in the hiring process and they should have figured out that they were not hiring for this position during the 5 month process. I really enjoyed my conversations with everyone involved and seemed like it would be a perfect fit but the non-approval was coming from corporate HQ in Germany and not really in the control of the individuals I spoke with.
