Disappointing Process for a Role That Looked Promising: Applied for a position and was asked to complete a detailed hiring exercise that took real time and effort, far more than what’s reasonable without compensation or a clear commitment. I submitted thoughtful work that aligned closely with the role, only to receive a generic rejection with no feedback. The process came across as overly perfectionist and out of touch with the realities of hiring. At the very least, candidates deserve transparency and respect for their time. I walked away feeling like I never had a fair shot and I doubt I’m the only one.
