      A Disheartening Experience with DXC Technologies I recently underwent the interview process with DXC Technologies, and I feel compelled to share my experience. As someone who was eager to join the company promptly, I expressed my immediate availability and mentioned that I held another job offer in hand. To their credit, DXC acted swiftly, completing the entire interview process within a week, including the client interview. During the discussions, I was informed that I would work directly with a client manager and that my role would encompass both development and support functions. While I had applied for a Developer position, I was asked to take on support responsibilities, including night shifts and even carrying work during vacations. Additionally, there was an expectation to contribute to other projects assigned by the manager, raising concerns about work-life balance. Despite these challenges, I agreed to join the organization, bearing in mind that my existing job offer required me to relocate to Hyderabad, a considerable distance from my native place, with a starting date of August 22, 2023. In an HR discussion on August 21, 2023, DXC negotiated my offer, assuring me that they would provide a work-from-home option, eliminating the need for relocation. However, at 8:00 PM on the same day, I received an unexpected message from HR, stating that they could not proceed with my offer, even implying that they could not match my current compensation. The explanation was simply, "I am sorry." This sudden turn of events occurred on the eve of my scheduled start date with a new organization. I had trusted DXC's commitment to providing me with a job, based on their earlier assurance of a WFH arrangement. This last-minute withdrawal left me in a difficult situation, feeling disheartened and disappointed. In the spirit of constructive feedback, I urge DXC Technologies to consider the impact of their decisions on candidates and potential employees. Open and transparent communication is essential during the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience and uphold the company's reputation.
