      Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Darigold.

      Here are the questions I remember from the phone interview... 1. Which Smurf are you? 2. What is an operating system? 3. What is Active Directory? 4. In what order does Active Directory apply settings to the user? 5. What is an IP address? 6. What is a subnet mask? 7. What are some common TCP/UDP ports? 8. What is ARP and how does it work? 9. What is UAC? 10. What is DHCP? 11. Why would you use a static IP address over a dynamic? Give examples of scenarios for both. 12. What command do you use in Windows cmd to view all the network ports active on the machine. (a: NETSTAT) This was one of those instances where it appears the company asks the applicant to come in for an in-person (after 2 phone interviews) but never commenting on why this selection is made and forever remains a mystery. It sounds silly but I have to wonder if there was an ulterior motive to asking me to come in. They were polite but unfriendly. If I could go back in time I'd ask "Why did you ask me to come here?" The in-person interview involved three rounds of questioning. The first guy looked like his arm had been twisted. That is to say, he doesn't really want to interview me, just doing it because he has to. One of his comments was something to the effect of "This team of employees have been here for years and we're like a family", but the non-verbal seemed to be saying "Aliens from your planet are not welcome here. We are getting along fine without you, thanks." And to that I responded with a non-verbal that I hoped communicated: "What you're saying sounds wonderful. Am I bothering you? I'll go back to my mothership if that's what you prefer." The next round involved two IT technicians in the same or similar position being interviewed for. Polite, but uninviting. One of them seemed intent on finding problems with the way I handled the questions. They asked me about my current position. I don't recall ever being complimented on anything that I could show I had accomplished. (I know how pleasant and encouraging an interview can be thanks to my current employer.) The final round involved the help desk manager. No smiles. I felt very unwelcome. He brought up the Glassdoor site but he didn't push. He made an implication that I might be put off by the reviews or have a misunderstanding, but he did not wait for a response, and moved on. I brought it up later and this was the gist of his reply: those bad glassdoor reviews are probably the union employees. They don't work in this building. Things didn't work out the way they wanted during negotiations so they are on an attack campaign. If this company was so bad would it still thrive? He went on to test my ability by asking me what I'd do in a scenario where someone is unable to print. I also remember him reading off a list of personality adjectives and asked to identify three out of that list that I'd use to describe myself. My advice to those who apply to this position and are asked to come in for an interview: consider that they have no intention of filling a spot. They stated that they were using someone per diem but maybe prefer to have someone on full-time and that someone had recently left. They stated that the previous technician left because of relocation out of state and reasons related to family, and added that there was no problem between them, that he was a satisfied employee and they appreciated him. Maybe they just want a sample of what an applicant is like given the glassdoor situation? Confront them if they seem unfriendly. Remember, they had plenty of chances to throw out your application. They put you in that seat for some reason. I never heard back from them.
