      I had multiple informal conversations followed by two more formal interviews over several weeks, as well as completed an online skills assessment. Was told to expect a call to discuss next steps and was never contacted.

      Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Descartes Systems (New York, NY).

      Entrevista

      Multiple screens with the recruiter, then sales aptitude test followed by four 60-90 minute recorded interviews with the same person. Told we were only halfway through their process at that point. There were definitely red flags, especially having all four interviews with the same person and the salary was well below market rate. They defended that by saying you'd hit your OTE where other companies might pay a higher base and not as much upside. Yeah, sure....... A couple weeks go by then the "we're going in a different direction" email. No feedback. Multiple recruiters from different recruiting firms contacted me for months after this experience looking for me to interview for this same position- a clear indication they have many different recruiting firms working on this at the same time. It's not the recruiters, it's their ridiculously long process and low ball salary. They are basically looking for a low paid robot for a critical sales leadership position. In the end, they will end up with exactly what they are willing to pay for and be looking to fill the role again in 12-18 months.

The multiple screens and four interviews with the same person appears to be a deviation from the norm. We hire for longevity and therefore invest a total of 4-6 hours to ensure we both are confident in a long-term career decision. We are sorry to hear that our compensation package did not meet your expectations. We understand the importance of competitive compensation and are continually reviewing our offerings to ensure they make sense for potential candidates and us. Our standard practice is to assign a search to one recruiting partner however, as they are posted on our website, it is common for other recruiters to reach out to potential candidates. We can appreciate the frustration and confusion this experience has caused. Once again, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We value your input and will use it to improve our recruitment process moving forward.
