In a previous project, I discovered a critical bug during the final stages of testing, just before the scheduled release. I immediately documented the bug with detailed steps to reproduce it and its impact on the system. I communicated the issue to the development team and stakeholders, emphasizing its severity and the potential risks of releasing the software without addressing it. We convened an emergency meeting to discuss the issue and agreed to delay the release by a few days to fix the bug and perform additional regression testing. This proactive approach helped us avoid major issues post-release and maintained the trust of our customers.
