First I don't take anything personal. Ask them if they are time constraints or if they have had difficulty finding the right candidate in the past. Ask what this role will be doing on a daily basis and update the job description accordingly. Provide them with an honest timeline of when they will start seeing candidates to interview, make offers and include onboarding time as well. Over communicate along the way if there are any obstacles along the way and things have seemed to work out fine for everyone.
