I spoke via phone with a recruiter and she scheduled and in-person interview. Because of schedule conflicts with my current job, DD was kind enough to agree to a video interview. I spoke with a set of two people first who asked questions about my background and interviewed me in the STAR behavior format. After they were finished interviewing me, another set of two people came in and asked more questions. This interview was exhausting. I was interviewing for almost 2 hours. and I felt relief when it finally over. In my opinion, the interview was a little intense for a compliance representative position. It was unnecessary and goes to show that these over-the-top interview techniques tech start-ups are using don't work. These places still manage to hire the most toxic people and have horrible employee satisfaction ratings. Also, if anyone feels they have been disqualified due to ageism, I suggest reporting DD (and other businesses like them) to EEOC.gov. It IS illegal and unfortunately, common.
